Choosing a Subdomain

Your subdomain is the URL that users will use to access your journal on Scholastica

Good

  • Choose a subdomain that will be easy for your editors, reviewers, and readers to use and remember. For example, if your journal had a name like "Steve Rogers Studies Journal" a good subdomain choice might by "srsj" which would result in the full URL of "srsj.scholasticahq.com"

Bad

  • A bad practice would be choosing a subdomain that is difficult for your editors, reviewers, and readers to remember. If your journal had a name like "18th Century French Urban Studies and Public Policy" a really bad subdomain choice might be something like "18th-century-french-urban-studies-and-public-policy" which would result in a full URL of "18th-century-french-urban-studies-and-public-policy.scholasticahq.com"
