Do you support single blind or double blind journals?

Yes! Journals admin users can configure their journals for:

  • Single blind: Reviewers will know the author's identities, but authors will not know who the reviewers are.
    • Reviewer single-blind view:
      • Reviewer Work Area in single-blind mode with Author Details section visible and author names highlighted

  • Double blind: Reviewers will NOT know who the authors are, and authors will also not know reviewer identities.
    • Reviewer double-blind view:
      • Reviewer Work Area in double-blind mode showing Abstract and Keywords with no author information included

The admin editor can edit this by going to My Journals > Peer Review > Peer Review Settings > Manuscript Blindness > selecting their desired option and clicking "Update Journal".

NOTE: Scholastica automatically strips identifying 'metadata' from uploaded .pdf and .docx files, but the editors are still responsible for anonymizing the content of the files themselves before they're seen by non-editors. Scholastica does not automatically scrub content from the body of the files themselves.
