What journal type does my journal fall under?
Journal types are used to help search and filter through the full collection of journals that use Scholastica.
Scholastica has four main journal types:
Humanities
A Humanities journal publishes works that study human culture including (but not limited to): anthropology, communication studies, history, ancient and modern languages, literature, musicology, philosophy, and religion.
Law Review
A Law Review is a scholarly journal focusing on legal issues. Law reviews are part of a larger submission pool -- authors are able to submit to multiple law reviews at once.
Social Sciences
A Social Sciences journal publishes works that study society and the relationships among individuals within a society. Fields of social science include (but are not limited to): economics, education, human geography, political science, psychology, and sociology.
STEM
STEM is an acronym for the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. STEM fields include (but are not limited to): chemistry, computer & information science, engineering, geosciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences, physics & astronomy.
